El departamento de compras establece los acuerdos y negocia los contratos con proveedores para adquirir los bienes, mercaderías o elementos necesarios para dar servicio o abastecer a los clientes con los productos de la empresa. Posteriormente, los aprovisionadores ejecutan dichos acuerdos comprando en el marco del contrato acordado y gestionando cada uno de los pedidos con los proveedores recurrentemente.
